Zoo Gorilla Brings Her Baby To Meet Mom And Newborn On Other Side Of Glass

An American woman named Emmeline Austin and her husband recently visited Franklin Park Zoo in Boston. They took their 1-month-old son and went to see the animals. What caught their attention the most was a female gorilla and her baby.
In the glass section of the enclosure, the female, nicknamed Kiki, was busily attending to her 7-month-old baby. As she passed by, Emmeline was so taken aback that she decided to show the gorilla her baby as well. The mother gorilla couldn’t hold back her emotions.

“My wife mentioned that she felt like she could understand their bond and could see how much she cared for Pablo, since she is a mother now herself,” Michael Austin, Canyon’s dad, told The Dodo. “My wife held up our son to show to Kiki, who was on the other side of the enclosure … then Kiki grabbed Pablo and put him on her leg to carry him over to us.”

This touching scene lasted for several minutes – and all the while the gorilla was watching the baby and its mother, not wanting to say goodbye to them. This once again proves a simple truth – for a real mother, there are no other children.

“It was one of the most amazing experiences,” Michael said. “Such an incredible memory to share with our son someday!”
