A woman spotted this stray dog near the airport in Texas, USA. The thin, frightened poor fellow walked down the sidewalk with his head bowed, and then hid in the bushes. The woman didn’t have time to follow him – but three days later she saw him there again.
The woman worked as a volunteer at a local shelter and decided to help the dog. This time she managed to catch the stray with the help of her colleagues. The dog was named William. The volunteer expected the dog to be happy to be rescued, but it was just the opposite.
William was very scared and was going through a lot of stress. He was trembling with fear and wouldn’t let anyone near him, afraid to take a step out of his cage. He was even unwilling to eat at first, and only with time began to get used to people and new environment.

Then the woman who picked him up took him to a holding facility. William was hard to get out of his cage for a walk – he was very afraid of the leash and the surroundings. But the caretaker did everything she could to get him to open up as quickly as possible. Slowly but surely, she managed to lure him out of his cage, and soon he was happily walking.William became more active, happier, and more playful.

A few months later, they began to look for owners for him. One elderly man immediately found common ground with William – and he decided to take him in.
Now he is a beloved and happy pet who enjoys life every day. William is surrounded by love and care, which is something he never dreamed of after years of living on the streets.
