A woman named Julia first spotted a terrified Lu-Seal at a Pittsburgh shelter. The Chihuahua could barely move around – she weighed 7 kilograms, twice the normal weight for her breed. At that time, a woman decided she was ready to help this pretty girl and give her a better life.

That day, Julia took Lou Seel with her. She put her new pet on a diet, took her for long walks, and worked with her a lot to get her to lose weight and live life to the fullest.
Soon the efforts of the owner bore fruit – Lu-Sil lost pounds and visibly revived. She became more active and lively as if she had her life back. However, with the doggie’s weight loss came another problem.

“It never occurred to me that she would fit through the bars of the fence when I picked it out, but it became clear as soon as it was installed that it was going to be a problem,” Morley said.

The fact is that before, because of her heavy weight and thick barrels, Lu-Sil could not climb over the fence near the house. But once she lost weight, she immediately discovered it. Every time the owner left the house, the dog would run out over the fence after her.
Julia tried to reeducate the dog, but it was in vain. So she and her family came up with one fun solution: a wooden spatula! They attached it to Lu-Sil so that there was no way she could get over the fence. Her attempts looked very amusing.

“Instead, whenever she sees Eddie during her vigilant cookie watch, she runs to the gate and waits for me to take her over to see him,” Morley said. “Lu-Seal is just unfailingly optimistic. She has a permanent smile on her face, and nothing seems to keep her down.”
But it was a temporary measure. After a few days, the fence near the house was transformed by adding new bars. Now Lu-Sil will not be able to get through them, and so far she is not very happy about it. The owner hopes that soon the dog will get used to it – after all, it’s for her safety.
