A resident of the United States, who works at a food delivery service, happened to see a stray dog by the roadside. The frightened poor creature was rushing along the road, and almost got hit by a truck. The woman immediately stopped at the side of the road to help the baby.

She noticed at once that the dog looked a lot like her dog, who had recently passed away.

“He was so little — and given my freshly wounded heart from the loss of my own fur baby, — I did not want to risk leaving him to be hit by someone,” she said.

That day the woman decided it was her fate. She took the dog with her, gave him the name Stitch, and began to take care of him. After the haircut and bath, he was unrecognizable. Stitch was very grateful to his new owner for saving him.

“When we locked eyes, I said, ‘Come here, buddy’ and he ran to me, nearly jumping into my arms,” she said. “It was a moment that felt almost like he’d been searching for me his entire life and he finally found me.”

Now Stitch is happy with his loving owner.

“I sit back and wonder if somehow, somewhere in this universe, it was Lela that made us cross paths at just the right time,” she said. “The resemblance between the two is uncanny. He was in desperate need of love and proper care, and I was in desperate need of help in mending an incredibly broken heart.”
