Woman Comes Home To Find Her Living Room Covered In Fluff
An American woman named Vicki Richards picked up this puppy on the street when he was only four weeks old. Someone had abandoned the “unwanted” baby in a box to his fate, and Vicki couldn’t leave him alone. She decided to take the little pit bull into her family and name him Bo.
“I found him in a cardboard box somebody had thrown away [when] he was around 4 weeks old,” Shelton told The Dodo. “I’m an avid animal lover. When I saw the box move a bit, I went and looked and figured somebody had just abandoned him. I couldn’t take him at that point.”
Two years later, Bo has grown to be a handsome boy. He loves to play with several of his owner’s other dogs and enjoys life to the fullest. The dog has grown to love his owner with all his soul – so much so that she discovered he had separation anxiety. Every time she left the house, even for a short time, Bo got very worried.
“I walked in, and he sat down in the middle of it like, ‘Look what I did for you, Mom,’” Shelton said. “I thought I’d been robbed.”
Everything was going fine, but one day Bo couldn’t stand it and decided to show his owner how anxious he was when she wasn’t around. When Vicky came home, she was shocked – the whole living room was strewn with couch filler.
“He even tore the stuffing off the sides of it — every cushion,” Shelton said. “I ended up with almost four big garbage bags full of ‘fluff’ and it took me a good couple hours.”
Turns out that was just part of Bo’s adventure. Before she left, the owner had left him in a large dog cage and behind a closed door. He chewed a hole in the cage, broke down the door, and only then made it to the couch.
“He chewed out of the crate and then went through the door,” Shelton said. “I got home, and he greeted me at the door. I knew I was in trouble at that point. Not a scratch on him. I took him to the vet. He didn’t hurt his mouth, teeth or his paws. He’s a force to be reckoned with.”
Like any loving owner, Vicki forgave her pet and realized how serious his separation anxiety was. She went to the vet for a solution, and now the dog will be worked on. And of course, she bought a new couch, which the guilty party now loves to lie on!
