A resident of the United States named Lauren Thompson decided to get a cat, and she went to a shelter in search of a pet. She wanted to find a special kitty with whom she would have a strong bond. After seeing a few, she almost gave up hope.

“The last cat I had, picked me by swatting at my shoulder while I looked at another cat, and I was looking for another match like that,” Lauren shared with Love Meow.
As the woman was getting to know one of the cats, she felt someone’s eyes on her. From a nearby cage, a kitty with a crooked face was looking at her. It was only when she glanced at her that Lauren realized it was her girl.

“On her first day home, I could tell that she was confused, but we bonded quickly, and she’s been by my side ever since,” Lauren told Love Meow. “She doesn’t always want to cuddle so when she does hop into my lap it makes it even more special. She absolutely loves belly rubs and chin scratches.”

The cat named Piddles had been brought to the shelter from the street. She was pregnant and also had a deformed jaw. Veterinarians helped her, but the jaw was not fully recovered – however, Piddles remained just as adorable.
She gave birth to kittens, and when they were a little older, they found homes for them. The cat herself stayed at the shelter – waiting for her owners. However, no one wanted to take her away until she met Lauren.

“Since I’ve adopted her she’s had to have most of her teeth removed, but she’s a happy girl and lives a normal life. She is the most docile cat I’ve ever known,” Lauren shared with Love Meow. “She had a pretty rough start. Now, she lives the good life doing whatever she wants, getting all the snuggles and napping all day long,”
The same day Lauren met Piddles, she decided to take her with her. That’s how the kitty got her long-awaited owner. The first few days Piddles was timid and afraid of everything around her, but she quickly got used to the woman.
Now they practically never parted and became best friends. Piddles turned out to be an affectionate, sweet, kind girl, and she loved her owner with all her soul. Her peculiarity does not prevent her from enjoying life.

Her favorite activities are watching the birds on the porch, playing, and cuddling with Lauren. She is very grateful for her new life and never fails to show her love. Thanks to a kind woman for rescuing this beauty!
