Woman Brings Home Kittens Found in Backyard, Her Dog Takes Them Under Her Wing Especially the Runt of Litter

Four young kittens who had lost their mother at an early age were picked up on the streets of New York City. People saw the kittens in their backyard, where their mother cat had left them for the last time. The frightened kittens didn’t know where to go and were very hungry.
Kind people handed them over to The Crazy Cat Family shelter, where the babies were happily welcomed. The kittens were about four weeks old, and a volunteer named Asa found a home for them right away.
When the kittens got accustomed to the house, their foster lady decided to introduce them to her pet dog, Kona. This kind-hearted dog always took care of the kittens in her care, and these babies were no exception.
Only when she saw them and heard the squeaks, Kona rush to calm the babies, to lick them, and to let them know that they were safe here. Next to the dog, the babies became noticeably calmer and more confident.
Kona liked the kitten most of all, who was half the size of her brothers. The baby, named Peanut, was in poor health and needed sensitive care.
Kona did not neglect the weak baby. She was always with him, washing him and watching his every move, realizing that he was not as tough as the other kittens.
When the kittens would be old enough, they would find permanent owners, but now they were under the watchful eye of attentive Kona, who loved them with all her heart!
