Very Polite Cockapoo Dog Won’t Enter Home Until His Paws Are Wiped
Howard Godkin of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England, was able to solve one of the biggest problems dog owners have: dirty feet. He taught his dog, Doyle, not to enter the house until he had his feet wiped.
Englishman Howard is 50 years old and can’t wash the floor every day after walking his dog, who runs out into the yard almost every hour. The owner came up with a trick – he trained the dog to wait until his paws were washed.
Now when Doyle comes into the house he sits on the mat by the entrance and waits while his owner cleans his feet with a special towel. According to Howard, Doyle quickly learned this “clean” habit.
Every time he comes back from the street, he sits by the towel and waits. One day Howard decided to check on the dog and purposely pretended to forget about the procedure. Doyle never entered the house.
In the comments on the video, online users envied the owner. However, Howard noted that it was just training!
