Two Clever Dogs Invent Their Own Way Of Playing Fetch
The dogs named Leyla and Bear live in the United States with their owners. They are very friendly and funny and love to do everything together. Recently they came up with an interesting way to play ball – or rather, fetch game with their owners. Their invention was appreciated by thousands of online users!
“We started by throwing the ball upstairs from the living room, so they would have to run up and down the stairs,” Kristine Lequerique, the dogs’ owner, told The Dodo.
After the family moved into their new home, the dogs loved playing on the stairs and running after each other. Then they began to play ball on the stairs, having developed a scheme – the owner throws the ball up, and then the one who catches it throws it down for the other to catch. The last one carries the ball to the owner to throw it again.
“I was so surprised,” she said. “Then it just kept going from there.”
But later, the dogs themselves came up with a scheme where they would not have to run after the ball and began to pass it! The owners admit that they never taught the dogs to do this.
“This happens all day, every day. They can go for hours or until we stop. Then they just continue to throw the ball at you until we start again,” Lequerique said. “They’re so smart.”
