The Weakened Puma Could Barely Stand On Her Paws, And So Turned To Humans For Help
Sometimes even wild animals realize that they cannot survive on their own, so they come to people for help. That’s what this puma did. The exhausted animal managed to make it to the Central Valley Rescue center on the Olympic Peninsula.
Sarah Penhallegon, the founder of the shelter, said the puma was so skinny and apathetic that she seemed to have come to die. The puma weighed only 15 kilograms, 22 kilograms less than normal for an animal of her age. The staff did not abandon the animal but helped her recover. With the help of medical care, she began to gain strength.
The puma probably lost its mother early enough to know how to survive and hunt. Without these skills, the animal simply cannot survive on its own in the wild. It’s just so great that people rescued her.
