The German Shepherd Who Refused To Die
This story seems like a fantasy, but it is true. Such unique events prove once again that real miracles still happen in the world.
Meet Kiryusha. He lived in the Komi Republic with his owners. Everything was fine with him until one day his miserable owners decided to put him to sleep. Why? Because the dog had simply become boring to them.
The owners took him to the vet for a lethal injection. However, it didn’t work, maybe it was a bad injection or the dose wasn’t right. The owners said that the dog was sick, so they had to put him to sleep. He was not found to have any serious illness afterward. The dog miraculously survived. After Kiryusha climbed out of the grave (just like a plot for a movie, right?), he went looking for his owners. Instead of the awful former owners, he met Olga.
The motorist – 39-year-old Olga Lystseva – was driving from Syktyvkar to Ukhta, when she noticed a hunched-over tired dog, wandering along the road in the rain. She drove 20 km from the place where she saw Kiryusha, but turned around and drove back. It was as if she sensed that the animal needed her.
Olga fed the dog, and he jumped into her car and fell asleep. Olga took Kiryusha to the pet protection organization “Kind City”. There he was examined and given a prescription for treatment. After a course of therapy, Kiryusha found a home. Now he lives in the village of Emva. Now the 7-year-old dog of the German Shepherd breed is not in any danger, Kiryusha is happy!
