The Famous Walrus Traveler Was Spotted In Europe Again
A month ago, a walrus named Wally was first spotted in European waters. He somehow mysteriously ended up there after hibernating – and is now actively “traveling” along the coast. This week is the second time he has been spotted in someone else’s boat!
In March, he was first spotted in Wales. He then moved to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Most recently, he was seen in Crookhaven, West Cork.
This time Wally was spotted off the coast of the village of Crookhaven, Ireland. Again he decided to sleep in someone else’s boat left offshore for a while – apparently, he now thinks boats are exclusively for that purpose! People have been watching his exploits with fascination, but sadly, Wal has had some difficulty learning the customs of his new home and has left some wreckage in his attempts to fit in.Now Wally has hit the news headlines again, storming another boat.
The locals were worried that the 800-pound creature might break into a boat. They even built a special pontoon for him, but Wally didn’t stay on it for long, and then he continued his journey again.
Upon learning of Wally’s appearance, experts began to worry – because it could be a sign of climate change in the walrus’ home Arctic. According to experts, temperatures in the area may be rising much faster than we think. This is yet another call to take care of the planet!
