The Dog Looked Sadly At The People Passing By Him

A dog named Bob was picked up on the streets of England. Kind people did not leave him to his fate and took him to the RSPCA shelter. There, the dog was found to have some behavioral problems, apparently because he had been mistreated by his previous owners.
The dog was very afraid of people and trembled at the sight of a leash. The trainers worked with him for a long time and when a lot of work was done, the pandemic began.
“We spent an extended period of time working with Bob behaviorally and helping prepare him for a new home and then, of course, lockdown hit and delayed us being able to find him a new home,” Jake Cowing, a staffer with the RSPCA, said in a press release. “He’s such a fabulous lad with a great character and I hope we can find him the right family.”
No one took Bob out of the shelter because of it, but even with the easing of restrictions, he continued to look sadly around at the other dogs who were being taken to new homes. During the time Bob was at the shelter, families found 221 shelter dogs.
“As we got to know him, we discovered that he is an absolute sweetheart,” Cowing said. “He’s very friendly and loves to play. Once he trusts you, he is the most loyal companion and friend you’ll ever find.”
Bob was bypassed because of his behavioral traits – it was easier for people to take a dog that didn’t need extra work with. But Bob hasn’t given up hope and dreams of an owner he will love with all his soul.
The shelter staff believes that for this sweet, kind, a little scared, and naive creature there is sure to be a worthy family who understands that no one in our world is perfect. Be happy, sweet Bob!
“Two years is a long, long time — and Bob has spent more than two-thirds of his life in kennels,” Cowing said. “While we’ve done the best for him, we desperately want to see him in a home of his own with someone who can give him the life he deserves! He has overcome a tough past and is our champion, a survivor and our friend. He’s a big, silly clown who will change the life of his adopters. And anyone who takes him on will certainly change his.”
