Nikki Delvental is a blogger. She travels and shares her experiences on social media. She usually travels around the country alone or with close friends, but a lucky encounter changed everything.
The girl went camping last September with her mom. The destination was New Mexico. As the road led mother and daughter to a remote area of Albuquerque, she suddenly saw a dog running after the car in her rearview mirror.

At first, the in-laws thought the dog was just running in the same direction, but he tried to keep up, lurking behind the car. That’s when Nikki and her mom realized the dog wouldn’t give up. They picked up the runner.
First, they asked all the locals who came across the road if they knew whose dog it was, and when they couldn’t find the animal’s owners, they brought the dog to a shelter. The girl paid for the dog’s lodging and treatment, and then went on her journey.

However, Nikki could not forget about the dog. A couple of days later she returned to the shelter to check on the animal.
The dog also had not forgotten about Nikki: he was so happy to meet her, jumping and wagging his tail. The girl was very moved by this moment. She decided to take the dog with her. She named the animal Kemper, and the dog became Nikki’s faithful companion on all her travels.
Kemper loved Nikia’s nomadic life. Now she’s never alone! Nikki now lives in her car and travels around the United States. She has put all of her belongings in storage for the long trip.
