A delivery man named Aaron Peters arrived at the gas station and noticed a sad pit bull in the parking lot. The dog lay near the cars and looked at him with pleading eyes.
The guy noticed this hopeful look, and he couldn’t get past it. He immediately texted his wife, Jamie, that he had found him. The couple was just thinking about getting a second dog, and it seemed to be a sign of destiny.
While Aaron hurried to work, his wife drove out of the house in her car and made her way to the gas station. That pit bull was in the same spot – it was as if he was waiting for the girl. Jamie quickly found common ground with him and lured him into the car.
It was as if the dog knew he was being rescued. He wasn’t afraid of anything and slept sweetly all the way. The first thing Jamie did was take the pit bull to the vet – he was perfectly healthy, except for some itchy skin damage. The dog had no microchip, so she safely took him back to her place.
So Rufus finally got a home and a loving family! The owner was worried about how another dog would react to the arrival of a new pet, but everything turned out just fine. She immediately became friends with Rufus, and they became inseparable.
Rufus quickly charmed the whole family and became the best friend of the couple’s children, and he even made friends with the cat. Aaron and Jamie are very happy to have this dog in their lives.
