Senior Dog Found Curled Up Outside During Blizzard Gets A Christmas Miracle
Last week, Michigan residents in the U.S. spotted this dog on the street. He was lying curled up on a pile of clothes outside someone’s house, and his coat was covered by a thin layer of snow. A thin layer of snow covered her fur, but she continued to lie there as if hoping to be rescued.
People immediately contacted the local POET rescue center, and staff came to pick up the dog. When they arrived, she was still lying there. You couldn’t look at her without pity – the dog was emaciated, dehydrated, and weak.
It was unknown how long she had spent on the street, but it was clear that her previous owners had clearly abandoned her alone. Volunteers took the dog to the shelter, where she was examined and treated by veterinarians. The dog turned out to be old, about 8 or 9 years old, and her breed was a mongrel pit bull. The staff gave her the nickname Emmy, and they did everything they could to make sure she got better as soon as possible.
Emmy was found to have joint problems, was underweight, and had lots of fleas. The staff determined that it was likely that the dog had been caged for a long time. Now Emmy has a new life waiting for her. The staff has already found a foster home for her, and the fosters have fallen in love with this sweet and humble creature.
Now Emmy has someone to celebrate the New Year with – she even has some canine “brothers.”
