Scaredy Dog Won’t Go Anywhere Without His Dollar Store Blanket
Flynn is a cross between a Bernese Sennenhend and a Newfoundland who lives happily in the United States. When his owners took him in, he was just a puppy. His owner immediately gave him a gift – a cute dog blanket. Flynn immediately appreciated the gift and started carrying it with him everywhere.
“He hates boxes, the dark, bags, he is afraid of our cat who is a toothless, clawless rescue,” Halstad told The Dodo. “He is pretty much afraid of his own shadow.”
Flynn was obsessed with his blanket. He slept with it in his arms, played with it, carried it in his teeth everywhere, and never left it lying around. The blanket became like his best friend!
“I had to go back and buy more,” she added. “He grabs it as soon as he wakes up and drags it all over the house and backyard.”
As Flynn grew up, his favorite blanket didn’t go anywhere. He still carries it with him everywhere and sleeps with it, just as he did when he was a little boy. He even makes sure he takes it out for walks.
“Life is definitely not boring with him around,” Halstad said. “He is an old soul in a puppy body, and he’s taught us all to slow down and enjoy the moment — especially the puppy cuddles.”
