Widget is a kitty who was born special. Not so long ago, she and her other kittens were found on the street in a miserable condition. And now this “moody” beauty conquers millions of people on social networks.
Recently we told about how a girl took under the guardianship of Widget, a special cat with a sullen face. She was found on the street as a baby along with other kittens, and she was clearly different from her fellows. The baby weighed half her age and was much weaker.

Doctors at the shelter determined that Widget had congenital dwarfism, which caused her to have irregular body proportions and develop more slowly than the others. A volunteer named Michelle Roberts took the kitty and her companions into her care, and when homes were found for the other kittens, she decided to keep Widget with her forever.

In addition, Widget is very actively gaining popularity. The owner publishes her photos on social networks, and millions of people learn about the kitty. Many people compare Widget to the famous “sullen” cat from the Internet, which is familiar to everyone by its funny memes.

“I couldn’t stand the thought of someone adopting her because they thought she was so adorable but then not being willing to take her to the vet if and when she did have issues from her dwarfism. From being in the rescue community, I can’t even start to tell you the absolutely horrendous excuses people will give for surrendering their animals.”
