Rare Brown Panda Stunned Users With Its Behavior
Qizai is the only brown panda living in captivity at the Qinglin Giant Panda Research Center in China. The mating season is ahead of the animal, so the staff is trying to encourage the animal to be active.
They use both food and toys to lure pandas to actively move. So, the male panda began to stand on his hind legs, dance and jump. Employees believe that strengthening the legs will increase the lazy animal’s stamina, as well as increase its chances of reproduction.
The fact is that pandas have their heat once a year and last 48 hours. The staff hopes that during this period, the 11-year-old Tsitsai can become a worthy contender for the heart of a female.
In the past, scientists have tried to mate the male with other pandas, but this did not result in a pregnancy. In the meantime, researchers are trying to find out why the panda has that color of hair. Presumably, it’s a matter of genetics.
