Pigcasso The Piggy Sold Its Latest Artwork For £20,000
When the pig finally found a home and an owner, Joanne Lefson, he discovered a talent in himself.
First, the pet saw old paintbrushes, which really interested the animal. And today he already has 400 paintings on his account, painted under the guidance of his owner Joanne.
She said: “I wanted to have Pigcasso create something that had never be done before. An oversize, larger-than-life canvas that could challenge the intrinsic value of an artwork created by an animal.”
Joanne added: “There was significant interest in the piece. It’s not just a visually striking and beautiful painting it’s a profound moment for Pigcasso, and for farm animals.”
A few weeks ago, the four-legged artist created another work called Wild and Free. The picture sold in the end for almost £20,000. This is a record price for a painting made by an animal. All the money will go to the life of Picasso, because the farm on which he lives, is in need of modernization.
What clever and creative animals there are, after all!
