Owners of furry cats sometimes shave their pets in the heat to make them feel better. However, a shaved cat feels much worse in the heat than a fluffy cat. The whole point is that cats have an air cushion in their fur that cools them down in the heat and warms them up in the cold.

Reddit user GoMooGo didn’t reveal her pet’s name, but she noted that by human standards, she is now 13 years old. She’s been suffering for the past few days, trying to find a cool place in the house. If this reason not to shave cats doesn’t appeal to you, just look at this pet’s haircut and you’ll understand!

The first picture was taken last fall. Moustache was enjoying her life, not worrying about the heat, looking gorgeous. It is impossible to look at the picture after the recent trip to the groomer without laughing.

A Reddit owner under the nickname GoMooGo from the U.S. told us about her cat’s unfortunate haircut. At one point she took her cat to a groomer, who gave her a “lion” haircut. When the owner saw her pet, she couldn’t contain her laughter.
“It’s… It’s not at all what I expected to see. I can’t stop laughing,” GoMooGo admitted.
Online users laughed at the haircut, advising not to do it again.
