Old Street Cat Learned For The First Time What Love Is
This old, skinny, sad, and weak cat was wandering the street. Despite everything he’d been through, all he wanted is love and care. People reported that they found him near a shelter, and Hands of Mercy Rescue Center staff volunteered to help him. The cat was sad to look at – his fur was shabby, his skin was in bad condition, and he was wary of everything around him.
After the first medical treatment and nursing, the cat was immediately sent to a holding facility, where a volunteer continued to take care of him. The cat was given the nickname Heff, and affectionately called an old man. When Heff arrived at the shelter, he quickly trusted his caretaker.
Despite all the misfortunes he had gone through, he was kind and affectionate, and just wanted love. “When I first applied a special ointment to his head and started massaging his ears, he just melted. He even bit me when I stopped scratching him,” says the caretaker. Perhaps the cat hasn’t been petted for a long time.
“He leans into me when I pet him,” Wilkinson said. “He’s just the most affectionate guy.”
The caretaker became very attracted to this gentleman. Although she did not plan to keep the cats, and they were going to find owners for Heff, she loved him so much that she kept him. Now Heff asks his owner to scratch him at any time – and she happily does it. Thanks for the rescue!
