The owners sent their 16-year-old cat to a shelter clinic and asked to put him asleep because of his age. But the cat was completely healthy, so the staff decided to at least try to find owners for him. Unfortunately, this turned out to be difficult.

Recently a woman named Lamia saw a picture of this red-haired cat in a group of a shelter-vet clinic on social media. It was an elderly 16-year-old cat named Maxx. According to the staff, the owners brought it in and asked to put it to death because of its age, even though it was completely healthy.

The shelter set a condition – if no owners are found for the cat within a certain period of time, he will be put to death. The girl was upset – she could not leave the cat. She started looking for owners for the cat herself, but unfortunately, she was not able to. Then she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Lamia got in the car and drove 1.5 hours to that vet clinic. She could not allow Max to stay there, so she took him to her place. Although the girl had no plans to get another cat, the meeting with Max was fateful. All this time the old cat was acting shy and anxious in the clinic – but as soon as he saw the girl, he immediately relaxed.

Max quickly got used to his new surroundings – despite his age, he turned out to be a very active and curious gentleman. He is always near his owner, wherever she goes and loves affection. Thanks to the kind girl for rescuing the elderly cat!
