Meet The Cutest Pet Ever! The British Family Get Rare-Breed Welsh Sheep
Valiant black-nosed sheep look extremely unusual – and even frightening! But despite this, they are becoming more and more popular, although there are not many of them left in the world. Take a look at one of these sheep that lives in Britain.
The British Vaughan family has an unusual pet – Marley. He adores cuddling with his owners, eating cakes and strolling along country roads. Marley is a lamb that belongs to the Welsh black-nosed sheep breed. They are distinguished by a small black muzzle and hooves, and the rest of their coat is white.
“I was smitten from the moment I saw him when he was a lamb. He looked like a little white poodle with a black face and black knees — far too adorable to resist,’ says Ali, 38, who lives with her children Ella, 14, and Max, eight, in the market town of Brampton in Cumbria.”
When Marley was still a lamb, he became seriously ill, and his owner had to care for him right at home. After that, Marley became so accustomed to home life that he refused to move around. Eventually, he was retrained and now lives with several other sheep of the family in a special room – but he likes to run into the house from time to time.
“He seems to understand everything I say and loves cuddles, but forgets that he has these big horns that stick out horizontally, like a Highland cow, so you have to be careful when you’re stroking him.”
Another Welsh sheep, Wilma, also lives in Great Britain. 24-year-old owner Liberty May keeps her on her farm, and the sheep have become good friends with her dog. Welsh black-nosed sheep have become popular in the last few years. They are rare animals – there are only a few thousand of them in the world. However, there are now several hundred specimens in Great Britain, and one can be worth up to 16 thousand pounds.
