Meet Buddha the Pomeranian, who climbs mountains and even KAYAKS with his owner
Buddha is a Pomeranian Spitz who lives happily with his owners in Scotland. Buddha has an unusual hobby – he loves to travel in the company of his owner. Steph Kitching, 28, once took the doggie on one of her hikes and was surprised at how much he enjoyed it.
Now the owner explores the landscapes and snowy peaks with her pet. She says Buddha shares her love of travel.
Steph, the owner said: “He seems so peaceful and happy when we’re out on the water. He’s loving his life; I bet he never thought his life would be like this.”
Buddha loves attention and is always happy if any passerby notices him. Many people come up when they see him in his backpack and ask to take a picture with him, and the dog is only happy about it. When he and his owner go kayaking, he’s sure to look out of the boat to greet other people.
Early years officer Steph said: “We had always wanted a small dog and when we first got Buddha, we quickly realised he was full of energy and loved going outside. Previously to having Buddha, I used to climb mountains with friends but now he comes on every walk with me. We can be outside all day but he loves it; once we reach the top of the mountain he loves running all the way back down and people always stop us to take pictures of him in the backpack. We bought kayaks last spring and last summer was the perfect weather to go out in them; I feel so lucky that he loves doing these things.”
