Magpie And Dog’s Incredible Friendship Made Them Social Media Stars
A resident of Australia, named Juliet, rescued a wild magpie, which she accidentally discovered in the street while walking her dog. The family’s Staffordshire terrier, Peggy, immediately took an interest. She treated the bird gently and carefully and helped her to recover.
The magpie was named Molly. Once the bird had recovered, the two became best friends – they did everything together, played and cuddled a lot. And when the owners tried to release the magpie back into the wild, all attempts were in vain. Molly refused to leave the house and her beloved canine friend.
According to the landlady, the magpie even learned to imitate the dog’s bark!
Peggy recently became a mother, and the owners gave away her pups, keeping one for themselves. He, too, joined the gang and befriended the magpie, and now the three of them spend all their time together. This friendly gang already has 135,000 followers on Instagram.
“We always leave all the doors and windows open and have tried to get her to fly back into nature but she has no interest in leaving us. We’ve been teaching her to catch her own worms and lizards. But she really thinks she is a dog, she runs around after Peggy.”- Juliet says.
