Little flightless birds have been found dead!
Hundreds of penguins, the world’s smallest species in New Zealand, have been found dead on the country’s beaches.
Graeme Taylor, the principal science adviser at the New Zealand Department of Conservation, said that the exact number is difficult to determine and reports are still coming in.
Experts say that flightless birds are more frequent mass die-offs amid changing climate patterns.
