Staff at Awaji Farm Park Zoo in Minamiawaji, Japan, photographed a koala named Daiichi-kun in an unusual pose. The male sat down like a human and put his paws on his knees, staring at one point with a serious look. The funny photos of the koala went viral on social media almost immediately, and the Twitter post garnered 150,000 likes.

At that moment, Daichi-kun seemed to be thinking about something high and extremely important. Maybe about global warming or the scale of the universe…? We can only guess. Online users speculated that he suddenly became enlightened, or realized the meaning of life, or maybe he was just meditating, given the position of his paws and pose.
