Kitten with Uniquely Perfect Face Left the Street and into Indoor Life, She Couldn’t Be Happier
Three months ago this kitten with an unusual appearance was picked up on the street in Edinburgh, USA. Passers-by immediately noticed that the kitten had a special appearance. She was taken to Murphy’s Safe Haven shelter, where she was gladly accepted.
The baby was examined by a veterinarian and turned out to be 12 weeks old – but she was developing very slowly and was the size of a 6-week-old kitten. The kitty was named Toothless, like a character from the cartoon “How to Train Your Dragon”.
“We originally thought she was around six weeks old but she was actually over 12 weeks (as her adult incisors were already in),” Audrey of Murphy’s Safe Haven shared with Love Meow. “Toothless has a facial deformity (craniofacial abnormalities) that makes her nose bridge far wider than most cats.”
In addition, the crumb was found to have a deformed snout and breathing problems. The team immediately began treating the kitty – and despite all the difficulties, she was full of energy and gratitude. Later, she was sent to the shelter of volunteers.
In her new temporary home, Toothless felt safer, calmer, and more curious. She had an excellent appetite and gained weight rather quickly. Within a couple of weeks her condition improved radically.
“This adorable girl is such a rambunctious sweetheart and is doing absolutely amazing,” Audrey added. “She’s a huge rambunctious kitten and would do best in a home with another active friendly kitten.”
Now they are looking for permanent owners for this little beauty. Bezzubik is a happy, active, and affectionate girl who loves people and is always happy to purr on her lap. She needs special care, but otherwise, she is a very ordinary kitty, and is very much waiting for loving owners!
