Kitten with Big Eyes But Half the Size, Clings to Family that Saved His Life and Transforms into Gorgeous Cat
This defenseless and lonely little kitten was picked up in the town of Dothan in the United States. The baby weighed only 99 grams at three weeks old and needed urgent help. People took him to the Kitty Kottage shelter, where he was warmly welcomed.
A volunteer named Beth took the baby into her care so she could get him back to health sooner. The kitten, named Guinness, couldn’t even eat from a syringe, so the caretaker dripped milk into his mouth. She fed him every hour and never took her eyes off him.
“He was a fighter since he had survived three weeks in the condition he was in,” Beth shared with Love Meow. His eyes were crusted shut when they got him. “I didn’t know if he’d be able to see.”
Beth did everything she could to make that little lump get better as quickly as possible. Fortunately, it paid off – soon Guinness’s eyes opened, and he began to eat more and perked up. He asked his caretaker for a lot of affection, squawking in his thin voice.
“When he figured out latching after a few days, I knew we’d make it through,” Beth told Love Meow.
When he was a month old, the kitten was still two less than the norm, but already pleased everyone around him with his achievements, and with an interest in exploring the world. Guinness began to crawl a lot, exploring every corner of the house.
“He was wrapped up like a little burrito. He tucked his head in and crawled out when he woke up,” Beth said. “He’s been so strong since the day I got him.”
This blue-eyed miracle loved to play and snuggle in the arms of the household. After that, his caretaker was no longer worried about him – he turned into a cheerful, active boy, and was rapidly gaining weight.
Guinness was adored by his caretaker’s family – he was always lying in the arms of Beth and her family, and they loved him dearly. So they decided to keep him forever!
“He was only 99 grams at three weeks old when I just got him. I never would’ve imagined he’d turn out the way he is,” Beth said.
It’s been a year since then, and little Guinness is still enjoying life and loving his owners with all his heart. Beth once rescued him when he was on the loose, and now this gorgeous kitty is full of life and love!
