Kitten Wandered into Family Garden and Befriended Their Cat, She Came Back to Leave Streets Behind
Residents of Montreal, Canada spotted this little kitten near their home. The humble little guy wandered around the house, apparently looking for something to eat. The family’s pet cat, who often went out into the yard, was attracted to it at once.
She and the baby became friends. The homeless kitten trusted his new acquaintance but did not trust people very much. He would not let anyone near him, except the adult cat – and always ran away, as soon as people approached.
After several attempts, the family still managed to get close to the kitten and take him. They could not leave him, so they immediately contacted rescuers from the Chatons Orphelins shelter. They took the kitten into their care.
The shelter determined that it was a girl, she was about two months old and there was nothing wrong with her health. She was given the nickname Alixe. Later, volunteers took the little girl to a holding facility to take care of her.
For the first few days, Alix was frightened and still would not let anyone approach her, but after a few days, she mellowed, realizing that no one would hurt her there. She began to sit quietly in her caregiver’s arms and purr loudly.
Alix began to play for long hours, rushing about the house, and communicating with other cats who were in the custody of her foster. During this time, she developed into a playful, active, loving cat.
Now they are looking for permanent owners for Alix. We hope this little girl finds a loving home soon!
