Kitten Walks on All Fours for the First Time and Finds Tabby Cat to Be His Life-long Companion
This red-haired baby was picked up on a street in Montreal, Canada. Passers-by immediately noticed that he had developmental peculiarities, and deformed hind legs and decided to help. The baby lit up with happiness when they paid attention to him and he was very grateful to people.
“Rubbix (the kitten) was very small and young when we got him. He didn’t notice any difference,” the rescue shared with Love Meow.
The kitten was brought to the Chatons Orphelins Rescue Center and was taken care of. Despite the fact that the redhead could not walk normally because of his deformed feet, he was full of energy and love. He was very cheerful, active, and grateful from day one.
The kitten was named Rubbix and began his journey to recovery. Volunteers took him into a holding facility and gave him massages and special exercises every day. After some time, the doctors gave him a correction, which Rubbix tolerated just fine.
Within a few days after the correction of his feet, Rabbix began to walk and explore a lot. A little later he was already frolicking on all paws, playing, and found a new friend. Mabrouk, a red-haired kitten, was also brought to the shelter from the street, and it was decided to place the two kittens together.
“We wanted to give him every chance to have a normal life he deserves. He had surgery on both hind legs to prevent his condition from worsening as he grew older. It was a success.”
The two immediately hit it off and became friends. From that day on, they did everything together, playing, sleeping, eating, running around the house, and cuddling each other. They were like brothers, despite their slight age difference.
When the kittens were ready for a new stage in life, they began looking for owners. The caretakers could not give them away separately because the two became very attached to each other. Fortunately, we did not have to wait long, and a family decided to take the fuzzy boys with them.
Now the redheads live with a loving family and enjoy every day together. Thanks to the kind people who once rescued them!
