The residents of the Canadian province of British Columbia picked up this red-haired baby. The baby had nowhere to go, and he looked around with frightened eyes. Fortunately, the kitten was found in time. People took him to the local Paws N Claws rescue center. A volunteer named Danica temporarily took him in.
“Ranger was quite the kitten. His feet rarely touched the ground as he preferred to be carried around in my hoodie that I wore backwards for him, or snuggled up in Foster Dad’s armpit. He was spoiled rotten,” Danica told Love Meow.
The guardian and her family began feeding the kitten by the hour from a bottle, caring for him, and giving him the love that he lacked from his mother. The kitten was nicknamed Ranger Rob and began the road to recovery.
After a while, Rob was noticeably more lively and active, and he was also very spoiled. His caretakers and housemates carried him in their arms from day one, and he constantly demanded to hold him. He trusted and loved his caretakers, and was always happy to cuddle and ask for affection.
Even though Ranger was very young and had been living on the street all this time, he turned out to be a very sweet, sociable, and affectionate creature. He quickly found a common language with the other kittens at the shelter and became the leader of the feline gang.
“It helped his development tremendously. In just two very short weeks, he was off the bottle, using the litter box, and no longer wanted me to kiss him in front of his friends. He meows in the bathroom waiting to be picked up and put on the counter, so he can see what’s going on while I’m getting ready in the morning. If he’s not picked up, he will climb up my leg,” Chandre, Rusty’s mom, shared.
When the little guy grew up enough, it was time for him to look for a family. He didn’t have to wait long – a family long time ago spotted this boy’s photo. They immediately wrote to the caretaker that they wanted to meet Ranger.
After a successful introduction, Ranger went to his new home. There he made new friends – his owners’ pet cat and a big dog. He got along well with them, and now this trio does everything together.
Ranger grew up to be a happy, healthy, full-of-love kitten. He’s a real charmer, and very grateful to the people who once didn’t leave him alone!
