This baby was the only survivor of several kittens found on the street in Virginia, USA. Despite the tragic condition the kitten was in, he turned out to be a real fighter. He had no one around, but he fought for his life and tried to make it.
People heard the baby’s squeak and immediately found him, and then took him to the Chris Griffey Memorial shelter. Specialists determined that the kitten was special – he was found to have congenital developmental defects and crooked paws, but despite this, he was full of will to live.

The kitten was given the nickname Mickey and began the road to recovery. Because of his ailments, he would always have to wear a special diaper because he could not go to the bathroom by himself. That was the only problem – otherwise, Mickey was active and curious from day one.
When Mickey grew up, they started looking for owners for him – and a woman named Tara immediately fell in love with the kitten. She lived in Canada, and the kitten needed to pay her way but that didn’t stop her. Mickey was sent by plane, and he successfully traveled the distance and ended up in loving hands!

“I thought he would be a perfect fit and companion for my other special needs cat Mira. I took him out of the carrier and he just looked at me with those big eyes, held onto me and started purring. It was perfect,” Tara shared with Love Meow.

Mickey quickly settled into his new home. There live a dog and a cat, with whom he immediately found a common language and became friends. Tara looks after him sensitively and says Mickey has a wonderful character. He is very playful, active, and appreciative of his owner.

“Within a couple days he made them all love him and joined the pack, especially loving on Mira and Paco (the dog). He loves my feet, always has, especially when there are socks on them. He turns into a floor sweeper,” Tara told Love Meow.
