1. The big panda is much bigger than it seems.
When we look at pictures on the Internet, big pandas seem fluffy and cute. But they are much bigger than you think.
An adult panda can weigh up to 150 kilograms, and the average length of a large panda is 1.5 meters!
2. The color of the panda changes from pink to black and white
Pandas are born looking like little badgers – furless, pink, and blind. The famous black and white color appear later, about three weeks later.
3. Adults eat 12-38 kg of bamboo a day!
An adult panda spends up to 14 hours eating. And on average, they eat 12 to 38 kilograms of bamboo a day.
4. Old pandas love to be alone.
Pandas do not live in families. They are solitary, having a well-defined territory. Males usually live separately, except for a short mating season (March to May), when they compete for a female’s attention. Females raise their cubs alone.
