Hungry Seagull Steals Food From The Supermarket Every Day

Steven the Seagull (not to be confused with Steven Seagal) has been spotted entering a local Tesco Extra in Paignton, Devon, UK, and stealing a packet of Mini Cheddars. The feathered criminal likes chips, crackers, sandwiches, and more to his credit. The stoler even got the nickname Steven. The bird has been a common guest at the store, and the staff and shoppers are very much aware of the stealing.

Liam Brown, a worker at the Tesco, managed to capture the thieving seagull on video. He told LADbible, “I’ve seen him go in a few times. This time he hopped on to my car bonnet so I started recording – I knew he was up to something. He jumped down and started chewing gum off the floor, then he walked into the shop and ran off with a pack of Mini Cheddars.”

The staff estimates that in one year he stole 300 pounds sterling from the supermarket. So lately the staff have started to drive Stephen away from the counters. According to one of the employees, Stephen is already used to coming into the store 1-3 times a day, and the staff even knows what he likes best – corn chips and cheese crackers. That said, the staff understands that this food is bad for his body, so it will be better to chase him away and treat him to something healthier for the bird.

There are many known cases of theft involving seagulls. They can easily steal your food while you are relaxing on the beach, or steal something right from the table in an open area or restaurant terrace.
