Golden Retriever Knows Exactly How To Keep His Little Brother In Line
An adorable golden retriever named Murphy lives in American Sarah Morrow’s house. He is the real master of the house and her mini-farm, as he is in charge of five cats, 21 chickens, two pigs, a rabbit and a puppy.
Murphy feels responsible and takes care of his owner’s animals – although with the recent arrival of Archie, the English Setter puppy, more responsibilities have arisen. But he loves his wild little brother dearly.
“Murphy loves to chase the birds, he loves to swim, he loves when we have baby chicks, to snuggle with our cat Toodles and go hiking,” Morrow told The Dodo. “He and our rabbit, Delilah, love each other so much that they each dug a hole on either side of the fence to get to each other. He’s a gentle giant who loves all.”
“Murphy and Archie hit it off right away,” Morrow said. “Archie follows him everywhere, and Murphy plays hall monitor. If Archie is playing too rough with one of the cats … [Murphy] steps in the middle, lays down and lets Archie have at him.”
Murphy feels responsible and takes care of his owner’s pets – although responsibilities increased when Archie, the new English Setter puppy, was brought into the family. But he loves his rambunctious little brother dearly.
The owner is used to this picture and doesn’t worry about her boys at all. She knows that Murphy is a very caring, sensitive, and sweet creature. Now Archie is older, but they are still best friends.
“Murphy is the gentle protector of all,” Morrow said, “and Archie is definitely the little brother that tries to get away with everything.”
