Lucky lives happily with his owner in the United States. Recently she decided to take her pet to a groomer because his hair had become too long and tangled. When the groomer called her and told her the dog was ready after his haircut, the owner went to pick him up.
When the owner, named Tykesha, arrived, she was given the clipped doggie. She immediately carried her pet into the car but didn’t immediately notice that he was staring at her strangely. Then she looked closely and realized that he had been cut very short.

“She started bringing a dog towards me, and I thought he looked off a bit,” Cherry told The Dodo. “But I thought to myself it was probably because he just got his hair cut off.”

Taikesha put the dog in the front seat of the car, and even had time to take a picture of him when she thought something was wrong. It was as if her dog wasn’t looking at her at all! She called his name several times, but he didn’t respond. This was the last straw, and the girl was sure – this was not Lucky, but an impostor!

“I kept calling him Lucky, and he never responded,” Cherry said.

So Cherry carried him back to the groomer. Cherry arrived at the groomer shop door at the same moment as another woman. The stranger turned, saw the pup in her arms and said, “Hi, Bentley!”

“I’m like, ‘Is this your dog?’ She said, ‘Yeah,'” Cherry recalls. “Inside the shop]everyone’s jaws dropped.”

“I just knew it was him. All the same personalities that I remembered came rushing in at once. It was a beautiful reunion, really,” Cherry said. “It’s amazing how we can tell so much about a person (doggies included) without even realizing.”
