Firefighters Helped An Old Horse That Fell Into Ditch
Firefighters and Department of Animal Control officers from Virginia Beach, USA, learned of a poor, elderly horse that had fallen sideways into a ditch and could not get out.
The horse’s owner came to the field to check on his pet but found her in the ditch. At first, the owner assumed the worst, but luckily the horse was healthy. That’s when the man called Animal Control officers and firefighters. Even though the horse was weak and wanted to eat, it humbly waited for help.
When the rescuers arrived on the spot, they set to work. First, they excavated the edges of the ditch and made them flatter. Then they took the horse by the legs and pulled it out of the hole in the ground. Before the rescue operation, the veterinarian sedated the horse and examined it afterwards. The horse was not hurt in any way and was overjoyed to be back on his feet.
