Family Hears Crying Coming From Their Rain Gutters And Discover Someone Hiding There
The British family was spending the day at home when suddenly they heard a strange sound coming from their bedroom window. When they looked out they saw an animal lying in the gutter – it turned out to be a cat. As they approached, they saw newborn kittens next to the cat.
“The mum cat had decided to give birth to her five kittens in the guttering of the property and with heavy rain due to set in, we knew we had to get to them fast,” Adam Bailey, an inspector with the RSPCA, said in a press release. “Alongside fire and rescue, I managed to get up onto the roof … and slowly but surely contain the mother using a reach and rescue pole and then pick up each kitten and bring them to safety.”
It turned out that the mother cat had decided that this ditch was perfect for the birth of her babies and gave birth right there. The ditch was in an inconvenient location and it was raining heavily, so the homeowners immediately contacted the RSPCA animal rescue service.
A large team came to rescue the cat family. They used netting to get the cat and kittens out of a hard-to-reach ditch. They had to climb on the roof to do it. But luckily, the family was saved in the end!
The mother cat, named Storm, was frightened at first, but when she saw that all her kittens were safe, she calmed down. Now the cute family is at the Rescue Center all feeling well and being looked after by caring volunteers. Thank you for saving the cat family!
