Dogs Have No Idea Where Their Family’s Pens Keep Disappearing To
Copper and Lucky are dogs who live happily with their owners in the United States. Recently, their owners noticed that ballpoint pens were suddenly disappearing from the house. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong until they saw one of their dogs’ paws.
“As ‘head of security of the house, she probably leaves the pens to go bark at a squirrel or truck or a person walking their dog and then Copper seizes this opportunity to destroy the pen,” Roma Mount, the dogs’ mom, told The Dodo.
As they found out, Lucky was just stealing pens, and taking them to her hiding place for “collection.” But one day her partner, Copper, got tired of just stealing pens, and decided to taste them… Naturally, traces of the crime were left on his paws.
“He is very happy about his accomplishments with the pens, but then because he is so loving and his world is his people and Lucky, he gets very sad and guilty as knows we are not happy with him,” Mount said.
Then Lucky began to engage in this criminal activity, looking up to the example of his older brother. Both hoped to keep their business a secret, but their ink-stained paws gave them away.
He realized that his masters were not happy about it, and so the troublemaker, Copper, went about his business with his head down, knowing that he had done something bad, and leading a bad example for Lucky to follow. After that, the friends chewed their pens less often – at least for now!
