Dog Who ‘Died’ Runs Into Mom’s Arms When She Sees Her At Shelter
An American woman named Miley saw an elderly Chihuahua at the shelter four years ago. She immediately fell in love with the little dog, even though there was a sign on her enclosure that said “No petting!” According to the girl, when the dog approached her, wagging her tail, she knew at once – it was destiny.
“I came across my gorgeous girl, I stuck my hand in the cage, and she automatically walked right up to me, tail wagging, and put her head in my hand,” Trist told The Dodo. “I started crying because I had found my dog!”
She took the Chihuahua to her house and gave her the nickname Jazzy. So the old dog began a new life, and the owner herself did not dote on her. After graduation, the girl moved to another city, and because of her work, she could not give enough time to her dog. Then the owner decided to give Jazzy to a friend for daycare while she was very busy.
Everything was going well, but one day Miley couldn’t get in touch with the couple. They literally disappeared and stopped answering the phone – and the girl couldn’t find her place. She went to every possible place, but they couldn’t find the couple until six months later. However, they said Jazzy was gone and couldn’t be found. This was real grief for the pet owner.
“The lady told him she had died three months prior,” Trist said. “About a year and half went by, and lots and lots of grieving. I felt horrible for ever giving her to them because I thought I wasn’t there for her last moments.”
Miley couldn’t get over the loss, and was very grieving for her pet. More than a year passed, and when she woke up one morning, she got a message in the mail. She had received an e-mail telling her that a dog had been brought to the Cowley County shelter and the employees had scanned the microchip and Miley’s address showed up. At first she couldn’t believe it, but she left work right away and went to the shelter.
“I automatically headed home from my job and got in the car and headed to her,” Trist said. “I was crying on and off the whole way there, which was almost a three-hour drive. I couldn’t believe she was still alive and I had no idea how she ended up that far away, but in those moments, I did not care.”
When Jazzy saw her owner, she immediately ran to her, wagging her tail happily. The girl could not hide her emotions at meeting her pet, and she cried. It was an incredibly touching moment. Now the doggie lives with Miley again.
