Cat Sits Outside Building in the Same Spot for Days Until Woman Comes to Him, He Turns into Instant Lap Cat

New Yorkers spotted this elderly cat in an alleyway. The frightened, nervous cat was huddled against the wall and was avoiding everyone around him. They were afraid to approach him because they feared he was aggressive. However, after noticing that the cat had been sitting in the same place for several days, some locals contacted the shelter.
The Puppy Kitty NYCity shelter staff arrived at that location, and immediately found the cat there. He was afraid at first, but when a volunteer reached out to pet it, he meowed long and modestly. Then he tried to hiss, but he quickly turned into a purr. After that, the cat even reached out to ask for more affection.
“He was a mess when I first found him, matted, skinny, and had some of the dirtiest ears I’d ever seen.”
When the volunteer carried the cat to the car, she immediately noticed the condition of the cat. He had many tangles, and his fur was covered with dust and dirt. But the kitty was very grateful, even though he meowed loudly during the car ride. A volunteer named Megan took him in to be rehomed.
The cat was named Capone. All of his tangles were cut off, he was fed, combed, and bathed. The fear in his eyes literally gave way to trust in a day, he stopped “resenting” and became much calmer. In the following days, Capone relaxed as much as possible, realizing that no one would leave him here and hurt him. He turned out to be an extremely affectionate gentleman and he never missed an opportunity to ask for affection.
So time passed, and a couple of weeks later a family was found for Capone. He has permanent owners, who love him with all their hearts, and he responds in kind. Now, two months later, the kitty is happy, and he is extremely happy to give his love to his caring owners. Thank you for the rescue!
“He is the sweetest ever, a loyal love-bug. He loves to watch bird TV, lay on his human’s lap, and just enjoy his indoor life,” Meagan shared with Love Meow.
