A resident of the Canadian city of Quebec heard someone scratching at her door. It turned out to be a sick old cat, begging to be let in. It was already cold outside, so he was very frozen.
Without a second thought, the woman opened the door and took the cat in. Hungry, cold, and sick, it really needed help. After feeding him, the woman contacted rescuers from the One Cat At a Time shelter.

Volunteers picked up the kitty and determined that he had been living on the streets for years. He was found to have some health problems, a respiratory infection, as well as fleas, battle scars, and huge hairballs.
Despite his many health problems, the kitty was very grateful to the rescue team. Although he was a little afraid, he purred appreciatively during each treatment.

After all the procedures, the cat, who was given the name Aslan, got rid of the terrible tangles and was finally able to see normally. A little later the cat was taken in by one of the volunteers.
Aslan was just a sweetheart. There was so much tenderness, love, and affection in this old man. He showed his love to the foster caregiver, and also made friends with the other cats at the shelter.

Aslan even made a best friend with the rescued kitty Cleo. They quickly became friends and began to do everything together. Thanks to her, Aslan became more self-confident.
Now Aslan is surrounded by love and care. After many years of living on the streets, he finally understood what real human love means. Soon they will begin to find a loving family for him.
