Cat Gets Up on Her Hind Paws and Waves to Get People to Notice Her

A 10-year-old cat named Vali was brought to a shelter in New Jersey, USA. Her elderly owner could no longer take care of her, so she had to give her to the shelter. Vali was not used to this environment, but even so, she immediately trusted the staff.

The staff determined that the cat was in good health except for a small problem with her teeth, which caused her to have an irregular bite. In the shelter Vali revealed herself even more, she was a very affectionate and grateful lady. She wanted to spend all her time in the company of people.

They began looking for new owners for Valya, and the caretakers were confident that finding a family for such a sweet and kind creature would not be difficult. However, the search dragged on. Half a year passed, and no one wanted to take the kitty home despite the many photos and posts that the staff wrote about Vali.

But Vali was not discouraged. She still enjoyed life and thanked her caretakers every day with her loud purring and affection. She even made friends with the other dogs and cats at the shelter. After half a year of waiting, the rescue decided to try bringing her to the adoption center, where she would have more exposure to potential adopters. At first Vali was calm when she found herself there. Every day dozens of people come in here looking for a pet, and after a while the cat figured out a way to get their attention. Every time someone enters the shelter, she begins actively scratching the glass of the enclosure as if to say, “Notice me!”

Vali is friendly and kind to everyone she meets, and the staff is sure that soon this sweet creature will find a better home. Be happy, Vali!
