Cat Brings Kitten to Family She Trusts and Comes Back Next Day with Another One
Residents of North Carolina noticed this cat in their yard. They started feeding it, and it started coming more often. At first, the humble cat came alone and at the same time – and she was always in a hurry to go somewhere.
One day the cat came again as usual, but this time it was not alone. From behind her, two little kittens were peeking out fearfully. Apparently, Mommy realized that these people could be trusted, and decided to bring her kittens.
The furry brother and sister were scared at first, but when they saw that their mother was calm, they stopped worrying. People fed the whole family and contacted rescuers from Murphy’s Law Center to have the fluffies taken care of. The same day, the feline family was taken to a shelter.
“The young mom is a stray and her poor tail is broken and degloved at the end, so we knew she needed to get seen by the vet immediately,” Sarah told Love Meow. “She is being taken in this week and so are her babies for their first appointment.”
Doctors discovered that the Mother cat had a seriously damaged tail and performed minor surgery. Mom and the kittens urgently needed a rehoming, which was soon found for them.
“They were so happy to have a home to sleep in. They were so tired from being outside and always on alert, so they have been resting and recovering.”
At the shelter, the feline family quickly became accustomed to the new surroundings. All three felt that they were loved and safe here. The mother cat, named Mildred, looked after her cubs frequently and never took her eyes off them.
The kittens themselves grew up healthy, active, and adorable. They played together all day long, eating, sleeping, and spending time with their mother. When they are a little older, they will find permanent owners!
“They are enjoying their meal times and new lease on life,” Sarah told Love Meow.
