People picked up a mother cat and her only kitten on the streets of Perth, Australia. The mom had milk problems, so she couldn’t feed her baby properly. The little family was taken to The Mad Catters rescue center.

A volunteer named Tara took the mom and kitten into her care. She was rehabilitating the baby and mom and immediately noticed that something was wrong with the cat. After examining her, the caregiver found out that the kitty still had kittens in her belly!
The cat, named Tiffany, was having problems giving birth and underwent emergency surgery. Only one kitten survived and stayed with her mother and baby brother. It turned out to be a little girl who fought for life as best she could.

“After getting more information about the cat and kitten, I quickly realized that the mother cat was experiencing dystocia (difficult birth) and was in need of veterinary attention,” Tara shared.

“She’s protective, attentive and doting on her only baby, so I hope I can gain Tiffany’s trust and we can do this together,” Tara added.

The little girl was born weak and fragile, but despite this, she really wanted to live. The guardian managed to restore her health, and soon both kittens were cuddling with their mommy. Tiffany never left them, protected them, and licked them all the time.
Around the same time, two stray kittens were brought into the shelter and picked up on the street. The kittens needed love and care, so they were placed with Tiffany. The caregiver was worried about how she would react but in vain.

“(One day), I decided to just give her a chance at caring for these kittens. I’m so happy to say that she has accepted them as if they were hers. She allows me to feed Bolt, Dotti and Diamond (with some growls and hisses) but will also allow me to pet her,” Tara shared.

“Tiffany is now the most wonderful mother to Diamond and a doting and proud surrogate to Dotti and Bolt.”

Tiffany accepted the two kittens as her own babies. Just hearing their squeaks, she rushed to them and began licking them. The babies immediately felt safe and became much calmer. They grew up healthy and active under the care of a caring Tiffany.
Now Tiffany doesn’t have a minute to spare – she’s always watching her babies, who have already started crawling. She has so much love in her maternal heart that she even has enough for other people’s kittens. When the kittens grow up, permanent owners will be found for mom and kittens.
