A dog named Sven and a male duck named Olaf became friends from the first day they met. They live in Oklahoma, USA, with their owner and her family. Two years ago, the owner rescued them a month apart – she took Sven from a shelter and picked up Olaf when he lost his flock.
“I was calling for Sven in the garden and when he wasn’t running to me, I went to look for him, only to find him floating in the pool with Olaf. Their relationship is so natural, they’ve been super close since the start and are still going strong two years later.”, – the owner says.
Even though there is another duck living on the family’s property, Olaf always prefers to spend time with his best friend Sven. According to the landlady, over the years of their friendship, Olaf has even adopted some habits, and now seems to partly consider himself a dog.
The friendly duo has social media accounts where the owner posts the cutest photos and videos of them. She even wrote and published a book based on the story of their unusual and very strong friendship!
“We have a small paddling pool where Sven will lay down, and Olaf will jump in to hang with him. They’re honestly in their own little world all of the time, and each day to them is like a new adventure.”, – she added.
