After becoming great friends with a goose, an aggressive German Shepherd that needed to be euthanized, has changed

Rex is 11 years old and has spent the last eight in a shelter. He arrived after being discovered stranded in a junkyard.
Unfortunately, Rex was a vicious canine. He bit a few individuals at the shelter, and two volunteers were always there to feed him: one distracted him while the other replaced his dish of food.
He was even put on a list of animals that should have been killed because of his hostility.
They discovered him at the Puriton Horse and Animal Rescue farm, though, and decided to help him. It’s easy to imagine how terrified the farm staff were when they discovered Geraldine, the local goose, had gotten into Rex’s enclosure.
She, on the other hand, was supposed to be the dog’s rescuer. Rex’s heart warmed the moment he saw Geraldine, and he determined to befriend her.
Rex’s demeanor shifted dramatically, and he became an entirely new dog.
“Geraldine is enamored with her new acquaintance. She spends the entire day running with him. And she has to be there when we go on a long walk in the woods with Rex,” explains Sheila, the shelter manager.
“They have a lot of affection for one other and like relaxing and sleeping together. Geraldine adores Rex and kisses him back.”
“I’ve worked at this shelter since 1997, and there were a lot of animals.” “However, I have never witnessed such a bond as Geraldine had with Rex,” Sheila explains. But there was a love triangle in this love story. Rex’s sole ex-girlfriend, Vera the Shepherd, is envious of Geraldine.
However, the shelter tells Vera that she was surrounded by love and embraces, and that she was able to cope with the separation without too much stress. Geraldine and Rex are still the most amazing and inseparable duo at this lovely sanctuary!
