A British woman named Jilly Radrum from Thornbury shared these images on social media, adding the caption, “The real Tom and Jerry!” In these photos, her cat, nicknamed Misty, is having lunch with a mouse that ran in through the door from the street. Yes, contrary to stereotypes, this cat turned out to be a pacifist or vegan.

Gilly said: “I used to leave some food out for her, and now she just now comes in and eats the food and brings her “friends” in. Maybe she’s a vegan. She wasn’t hungry enough to eat the mouse, so she might have just thought it was a little someone for her to play with.”
The family adopted Misty in June of this year. The cat was homeless and had wandered onto their property. She’s lived with them on the farm ever since and has made friends with all the local residents including mice.

Misty turned out to be so peaceful and friendly that she never once “let her claws out” on anyone on the farm. The cat has a very gentle personality, and her owners love her for that. She may not be the best hunter, but she breaks all stereotypes about the friendship between cats and mice!
